Third Grade Class to the rescue

EWB-Pittsburgh Chapter received a big surprise from the third grade class of St. Thomas More School. Mrs. Conroy’s class donated boxes of first-aid and medications to be distributed to the families of Makili, Mali. Claire Nettleship (daughter of Ian Nettleship, EWB Faculty Advisor) and her classmates also drew up pictures to be shared with kids of the village. Claire is in the pink shirt in the second row on the far right. This little enterprising lady gave a presentation to the class about the Mali project and Engineers Without Borders.

The Mali Travel Team (Suman Ramasundaram, Marty Taube, Mike Bozek, Emma Baillargeon, Victoria Kennedy and Jeff Fein) will be taking the donations on May 2nd as part of the first Site Assessment. Much thanks to the big hearts of Mrs. Conroy’s class.

Other EWB members opened their hearts too and sent in clothes and medicines. Thank you!
